Sneak Peek: The new Designer Tin of Cards stamp set, using the Double Front Fold Technique

Don't you love sneak peeks?  New stamp sets? And trying new techniques?  Me too!!  I made a quick little video to show you this card and set because it's a whole lot easier than me trying to explain it!  Trust me, you don't want me to try...lol.  I also, posted some pictures of the card as well with some instructions below.

Double Front Fold Card  Double Front Fold Card #2  Double Front Fold Card #3

Double Front Fold Card #4

Double Front Fold Technique

  • Cut a card base (blue) 5 1/2" x 6 1/4".  Score at 4 1/4".
  • Then cut an interior card base (white) 8" x 5 1/4".
  • Cut Front and Interior panels (smaller panels). They can be sized based on the stamp images you are using, you will need 2 of each.  Since the panels will be based on your images, just make sure that both sets of the panels are the same dimensions.  (The dimensions of the smaller version below include the smaller panel sizes if you want to practice on one first.)

Dimensions for a smaller version are:  Card base 4 1/2" x 4" and scored at 3".  Inside card is 5 1/2" x 3 3/4".  Front and interior panels (smaller panels) 2 @ 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" and 2 @ 2" x 2 3/4".

Assemble as shown above:

  • Attach your interior card base (white base) back to the inside back of the Exterior card base (blue base) only.
  • Place your smaller panels on the front of the white base.
  • Next layer the top front (blue) as you wish, mine is with a strip of Designer Series Paper, then attach your small panels making sure that they  lineup perfectly on top of the panels on the white base when the card is closed before you adhere so the second front is a surprise!
  • Stamp your sentiment images on the back white panel and you are done!

I hope you make one, it's a fun card to make and even better to get!  I'd love to see your versions, please feel free to post!!

Until next time, wishing you days full of sunshine!

New Stampin'Up! 2016-2018 In Color's Sneak Peak!!!

Aren't they gorgeous!

2016-2018 In Colors Cards

The color names are just as fun as the colors themselves!  In order, from top to bottom meet: Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo and last but not least Sweet Sugarplum!

I had fun making these cards, I think they turned out so pretty using only 1 matching ink color & paper, combined with a gold foil paper rose die cut and gold embossed banner.  In order to create some dimension to the roses I sponged the matching In Color ink in the rose flower area, then I misted ink on top of that to add more interest and dimension.  I added the rose die to the card and used Gold embossing powder to create the banner outline and stamped the greeting with the matching In Color, applying to the card with dimensionals.  I hope you like them!

Here is a list of products used to create these cards:

Papers: Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum (141413-Available June 1, 2016) Whisper White-100730

Stamp sets: Rose Wonder-140697 (*Photopolymer set, you will need clear blocks)

Inks: Both the ink pads & refills - Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum (Available June 1, 2016) VersaMark pad-102283

Coloring tools: Stampin' Emboss Powder Gold-109129, Embossing Buddy-103083, Heat Tool-129053, Stampin'Spritzer-126815

Big shot-143263, Rose Garden Thinlits-140619, Die Brush-140603

Now that you have seen a sneak peak, what I really want to know is what is YOUR favorite color?

Until next time, wishing you days filled with sunshine!

Yay, It's here! Love seeing the UPS truck, I even know the sound of it before I see it!

Hi all!

I have been pretty busy the last month!  My ,husband, Jim and I went on vacation backpacking in Death Valley!  It was awesome, it is a unique place indeed!  But that is another post all together!  As soon as I got home I had to get busy making SWAPS for the OnStage Live event that Stampin'Up! held in Salt Lake City, UT! I've attached a couple of pictures of my assembly line and some appreciation gifts I made, which are little notebooks.  It's so inspiring to swap ideas with people from all over the country, well, the world really!  Everyone has such wonderful ideas!

When you go to OnStage Live, you are the first ones to see the new Catalog and touch, see and use the new products!  The energy, and excitement is awesome.  And as usual this catalog is full of new items I can't wait to get my hands on!  Going to this event also gives us a chance to order some product before it's available to buy!  So I wanted to share with you my video of opening the items I was able to order!  I love the new colors and so many fun stamp sets, papers, embellishments and of course so much more! I hope you enjoy the video and getting a sneak peak!

I hope you had fun watching!  I can't wait to show you more...until then, Happy Stamping!
