Friendly Hello & Simply Marbleous

Don't you hate it when a good thing is gone?  I feel that way every time Sale-a-bration comes to an end!

Join me while I make a card using a fun technique and share some other fun cards I created using two of my favorite Free products that were part of Sale-a-bration.  The Friendly Hello stamp set and coordinating Designer Series Paper and the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper.  I'm sorry to see these go, the papers are beautiful and the stamp set has become one of my favorites!

Whether you have them or not, I hope this video gives you some inspiration for your crafting projects!  Enjoy!

Happy Spring!

Happy Spring!

Oh don't you just love the idea of all our trees becoming green and the flowers coming alive again!  Maybe you are in an area that you are lucky enough to not have such a drastic change between seasons.  I'm in Minnesota and even though I grumble of the winters, I truly do see the beauty in that time of year as well.   But nothing amazes me more than just one day it seems overnight everything is green and lush again!

Speaking of lush and green, I love the Wrapped Bouquet Bundle!  There is something about the flowers being wrapped in paper that reminds me of simpler times maybe.  I love the fact that there is a die in the set to make your stamped paper wrap around the two different bouquets that you can choose from.  I love the artwork in the stamp set and the way they created the sentiments.  There is a small tag you can create and these great sentiments:  Thanks Friend, Love you Bunches, For You and Happy Mother's Day.

Speaking of Mother's Day, create your special card using this perfect bundle.

Snowflakes in July?

Greetings!

That's right!  And what a beautiful sight!  Of course, I'm happy that it is only on paper, it is seriously way too early to even think of SNOW!  What I am thinking about is that Christmas will be here before we know it!  And I love making handmade cards for everyone, they are fun to make and even better to receive.  Here is a quick and simple little card I made to get me in the spirit, but has a wow factor too by using Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the snowflakes and the cute silver star embellishments.

Christmas Flurry Card

To make this quick card follow this card recipe:

  • Create your card base 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"  in Whisper White card stock.
  • Cut a panel 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" in Basic Black card stock.
  • Cut a panel 5 1/4" x 4" in Bermuda Bay.
  • Cut a panel 5" x 3 3/4" in Daper Denim using the Color Theory Designers Series Paper Stack.
  • Cut your snowflakes using the Seasonal Layers Thinlet Dies.
  • Stamp your image in black.
  • Apply your washi tape using the Bermuda Bay snowflake pattern to the Dapper Denim panel.
  • Adhere your snowflakes using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, sparingly.
  • Adhere your stars.
  • Attach layers onto the card base, and using Stampin' Dimensionals for the top layer to give the card some added dimension.

Here are the product details to make this fun card.  Hoover your mouse over image and the product information will display.

New Stampin'Up! 2016-2018 In Color's Sneak Peak!!!

Aren't they gorgeous!

2016-2018 In Colors Cards

The color names are just as fun as the colors themselves!  In order, from top to bottom meet: Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo and last but not least Sweet Sugarplum!

I had fun making these cards, I think they turned out so pretty using only 1 matching ink color & paper, combined with a gold foil paper rose die cut and gold embossed banner.  In order to create some dimension to the roses I sponged the matching In Color ink in the rose flower area, then I misted ink on top of that to add more interest and dimension.  I added the rose die to the card and used Gold embossing powder to create the banner outline and stamped the greeting with the matching In Color, applying to the card with dimensionals.  I hope you like them!

Here is a list of products used to create these cards:

Papers: Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum (141413-Available June 1, 2016) Whisper White-100730

Stamp sets: Rose Wonder-140697 (*Photopolymer set, you will need clear blocks)

Inks: Both the ink pads & refills - Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum (Available June 1, 2016) VersaMark pad-102283

Coloring tools: Stampin' Emboss Powder Gold-109129, Embossing Buddy-103083, Heat Tool-129053, Stampin'Spritzer-126815

Big shot-143263, Rose Garden Thinlits-140619, Die Brush-140603

Now that you have seen a sneak peak, what I really want to know is what is YOUR favorite color?

Until next time, wishing you days filled with sunshine!

Terri
